Obituaries: Attending the funeral and interment of my father-in-law in Puerto Rico in June 2018 moved me deeply. Chago was 91. He'd had a good life. I realized more than ever that dying is part of living. It's OK. We all get to do it. What's important is to focus on and enjoy the interactions we have with friends and loved ones here and now. After we check out, it'll surely be something different. My sister and I started talking about our own obituaries.... it was a cathartic experience to write mine. I wrote a version of hers too.
